HEATING OF HALLS
SUN-BEAM
HEATERS AND GAS RADIATORS
Infrared heating
Dear reader, imagine the speed of light and that heat is transferred at that speed. This is how the sun warms. This is also how SBC and SBT gas infrared heaters manufactured by us heat up. Infrared radiation is the transmission of energy. Why is it economical? Now imagine a cloudy day in winter and the air temperature is -5C, it is quite cold. When the sun comes out from behind the clouds in the afternoon hours, it will become much warmer. The air temperature will not rise quickly, it will still be -5C, while our feeling of warmth, i.e. thermal comfort, will significantly improve. This is how gas heaters work, they allow for thermal comfort at a much lower air temperature, which means much lower gas consumption, especially in tall buildings.
Infrared radiation
Infrared radiation is the emission of electromagnetic waves with a length of 780 nanometers to 1 millimeter. In the case of heating by radiation, objects located under the SBC or SBT gas heater are heated. So they do not heat the air directly, but the surface of the earth. The heated surface of the earth gives off heat to the air by convection. In the same way, gas heaters heat people who are under the gas heaters. They allow for spot heating of individual places in large rooms. A gas heater literally delivers heat at the speed of light.
Infrared heating
The photo shows an example of heating an industrial factory with SBC ceramic gas heaters. By retrofitting the factory’s heating with Sun Beam gas heaters, the facility user saves 70% per year on heating bills. The investment in a radiant heating system will pay for itself in this case within 3 years. Gas radiators are powered by natural gas and have the option of zone heating. This means that they can be turned off in part of the building and the rest can be heated.
Advantages of radiant heating
HEATS PEOPLE, THE FLOOR AND OBJECTS
It does not heat the air. The air is reheated by convection and conduction from the heated floor and objects
REDUCED AIR MOVEMENT
Unlike gas heaters, their operation does not cause forced air movement
LOW VALUES OF NOX AND CO IN THE EXHAUST GAS
Gas heaters have very low NOX and CO values in the flue gas
REDUCED GAS CONSUMPTION
Thanks to the use of gas radiators, the savings reach from 20 to 50% compared to heating with gas heaters. Depending on the height of the building. The taller the building, the greater the savings.
ZONE HEATING
They can operate in zones when it is not necessary to heat the entire area of the building
